Scholarships Avaliable for Plant Taxonomy Course

The Environmental Research Institute is pleased to announce the availability of two scholarships for UB students or professional from partner organizations to participate in a field course on plant taxonomy that the Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh organizes in Belize every year.

The course will take place January 9-23, 2012 at the Mountain Pine Ridge, Belize Botanical Gardens and La Milpa. As part of the course students will learn plant identification and collection methods as well as ecological sampling techniques.

These scholarships are being sponsored by the University of Edinburgh and by the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Scholarships will be granted to individuals who demonstrate a genuine interest in field botany.
